The Przemiany Festival this year delves into the concept of the ‘superorganism’. At its heart, a superorganism is a community working collectively for mutual well-being, much like a colony of ants or bees. In the context of humans, our bodies are superorganisms not only due to the incredible mechanical function but also because they house a vast and diverse microbiome, essential to our health and functioning. With advances in science and technology, we’re continually pushing the boundaries, learning more about our bodies, and seeking enhancements. This draws us to question the line between repairing and enhancing the human body. The festival serves as a platform for discussions, explorations, and art and science exhibitions aiming to address these questions.
