 Amy Karle’s Artworks in group exhibition in “Post Life” Beijing Media Arts Biennale (BMAB).

In conjunction with the Biennale, Amy Karle will also be giving the
closing keynote for the forum on September 6 2018
and an Artist Lecture on September 9 2018.

The theme of the 2018 Beijing Media Arts Biennale is “Post Life”, a topic intending to evoke questions about life in this technology-driven social context.  The Biennale is comprised of 6 parts: the main exhibition, lab space, hyperlinks exhibition, live performances, thematic forums, workshops and lecture series. The event will also include interdisciplinary experiments in the art and technology fields, with an aim to facilitate in-depth discussions between artists, designers, scientists, and theorists. The exhibition includes internationally acclaimed artists prominent in the fields of new media, moving images, interactive installations, immersive art, biological art, mechanical installations, audiovisual arts, internet art, sound art, technology and mixed media. The Biennale is an international platform for leading practitioners from the fields of art and technology. 

Three thematic exhibitions presents international art works relevant to topics of “Data Life”, “Mechanical Life” and “Synthesized Life”. Lab Space is a special exhibition that focuses on showcasing international laboratory practice in art and technology. Furthermore the event expands into forums, live performance, workshops, panel discussions, various digital and physical public engagements, an online hyperlink exhibition and a publication. The event will also include interdisciplinary experiments in the art and technology fields, with an aim to facilitate in-depth discussions between artists, designers, scientists, and theorists.

BMAB is funded by China National Art Fund, organized by China Academy of Fine Arts and co-sponsored by the CAFA School of Design, the CAFA School of Experimental Art, and CAFA Art Museum.
