CARBIDE SKULL

Amy Karle’s “Carbide Skull” (2022) is a digitally handcrafted sculpture based off of a 3D scan Karle captured of a 200-year-old skull, representing her deep inquiry into the evolution of technology and its interplay with the human body. Utilizing generative design and hand finished in durable Silicon carbide, this work not only bridges art and technology but also offers a unique perspective on materiality, digital fabrication, the human body.
